2012 ABD Indoor TT Series Prize Update
Indoor Time Trial Series starts soon! New Team Competition and New Age Group Categories Competition! Bring your friends and win as a team!
Besides paying the top 3 finishers for the fastest men and women at each event ($50 / $30 / $20), awarding MATTS points, and a prize for the overall winner in each qualifying category, ABD is announcing 2 Team Prizes! $500 for each, a participation prize and a performance prize!
HERE ARE THE TEAM HIGHLIGHTS!
For the Performance Prize, we will take the five fastest individual times from each team from each of the 4 events (only one time will be counted per person for this competition, so if a racer rides twice, only their fastest time will be used for team competition). After the last stage of the series with the John Fraser Memorial Time Trial, the collected times will be added together, the team with the fastest combined time will be awarded $500!
Next for the Participation Prize. For every rider in your club that attends each TT, a raffle ticket for your club will be placed in a hat (maximum of 10 raffle tickets per club, per event). At the John Fraser, we will draw the winning ticket and award that group $500!
Fine Print: You cannot switch teams for this competition. For instance, ABD could not ask Christian Vande Velde to be on our team for this series. If you are an unattached rider, we are encouraging you to bring your friends and give your group a name.
INDIVIDUAL COMPETITOR DETAILS!
For the individual competition, there will be an overall first place winner in each category based on fastest combined times of all 4 events. To qualify, a rider will need to participate in all stages of the series and there must be a minimum of 3 competitors in the overall for the age group category. There is over $600 in prizes for this, which will be divided up by the number of qualifying categories.
It's not over yet! MATTS medals will be awarded to the top 5 riders in each category at every event.
2012 ABD Indoor Time Trial Series
Oh the weather outside is frightful,
But the trainer looks
so delightful,
And since we've no place to go,
Let Us
Race! Let Us Race! Let Us Race!
Start Times - each TT is a tab in the spreadsheet.
That's right folks, it is time to start warming up that trainer and getting ready for the 13th Annual ABD Indoor Time Trial Series. This year we are featuring our all new Team Competitions, all new Age-based Categories, and an all new, or well old, Location!
There will be 2 separate team competitions, one will be participation-based and the other will be performance-based. Participation is for teams who can get the most members to the races and the competition will be for the fastest overall team. More information is located on the event page.
All new age-based categories, the way they do it in multi-sport events. Don't worry, we will have a category 1/2/3 and 4/5 field that is open to both men or women, so race twice and place twice! More information is located on the event page.
All new location as well. Gone are the days of a sweaty gymnasium. The new location will be the old location of Prairie Path Cycles in Batavia, IL. More information, including the address, is located on the event page.
Head on over to the event page for more information as well as to register online as well as via the US Mail.
